Yes, I confess, I did have some unkind thoughts towards this blog. Since snowboarding season was over I almost let it die together with my memories of it... And if not for a few gracious readers that left their fingerprints in form of comments on my posts, I think this blog would not have survived. So thank you, friends!
Now, let's do a quick update. We are healthy even tho not wealthy, doing well, working, going to school (or wishing to go in my case), hating gas prices and enjoying the summer in Central Oregon.
I have been recently promoted to the role of an optician at my office which is very flattering in a way, although truth to be told, it only happened because every other employee had quit a month before. But anyways... Now I can't get constantly rebuked by my husband for owning too many pairs of glasses, I need them for my job! Ha ha.
The month of May was a happy month of my 25th birthday. That's a quarter of a century, by the way. We were invited to go to Northern California for that weekend, which turned out to be rainy and cold. Erik got to try wake boarding and of course was good at it from the start. I found the temperature of 40F not water friendly and stayed in the boat.
The month of June is being spent in great anticipation of Steven and Teresa Yeats arriving in Bend. They will spend a few days here with us and then will head up to Idaho to visit family. They are borrowing my husband for the trip and he's very excited about it. I don't get to go since my trip to Ukraine is coming up July 19th. Taa-daa!

i absolutely hate the fact that i'm gonna miss you when you're here in ukraine. some girls and i are going to the kids camp july 14-26. but maybe you'll be still here when we're back? that would be great! can't wait to see you!!
