My first speeding ticket, auch!

The day has come! I got it! I never thought I would! After we paid hundreds of dollars in fines for Erik, I told him I will suspend his license myself if he gets another one.
But on this bright sunny morning I happened to drive by an unkind policewoman (who ever lets women to patrol anyways?). I think there should be a special rule for people who are late to work, you know?
Here's what I think about speeding tickets:

for one, they kill the joy of driving

for two, people don't really stop speeding after they get fined

and for three, speeding tickets suck...

I think you are just used to the fact that there is no real fines in Ukraine for speeding.

My point of view is that the speed limits are there, not to cause grief to drivers, but to protect those around the area in which the limits are placed.

I wouldn't want someone driving 80 km/h around my apartment building if Leah was old enough to be out and playing.

I got tagged with a huge speeding ticket once at 11pm on my way home from work (3-4km drive). It really opened my eyes and scared me enough to be more conscious of it in the future.
