Barbie Nation

What has gone wrong with a country where an overweight person has to struggle to prove their worth in society? Are they valued less as a human? Are they less intelligent, less apt, less... what?

I feel there's a huge pressure on girls especially that being skinny is vital to your happiness and success. We succumb to the "Barbie" image of a woman: a stupid unrealistic shell. The poor fat girl didn't make the cut.

It is truly saddening to see young girls with no self confidence and no ambitions struggling in life  just because they weigh a few pounds more.

And don't get me wrong, I am not advocating obesity. But I feel that now it's our turn to say enough to the Barbie girl but we don't all because of being raised with her on our lap.

you go girl. so what are some practical steps that can be taken to make your point clear?
- you as an advocate for truth you should become overweight yourself and prove that you're not worthless.
- they need to have a line of fat barbie dolls

Now is the time to say "enough" to junk food, being a couch potato and eating your feeling away...

If they were not so lazy they wouldn't be so fat...

Well not all overweight people eat junk. What I'm advocating is to stop feeling like a loser if you weigh more than you'd like to; also to stop hiding yourself in hideous clothes: there's so much cute stuff out there is sizes Plus. It seems like a lot of women just give up... It's tragic really!
