Did you know...

that American Licorice Co is headquartered in Bend OR.
I personally am not a big fan of licorice but Erik can go thru a box like that in no time.

Also Bend has one of the largest breweries in the North West: Deschutes Brewery. We live right next to it and in the morning you can clearly distinguish the sweet aroma of fermented hops. I came to love the smell.

And (on the side note) Matthew Fox who played Jack in Lost is building a house in Bend and is planning on moving here after the final season of Lost is done in 2010.
